Semi Permanent Eyelash Extensions

Semi permanent eyelash extensions are a great way to enhance your look. There are so much different types of looks that can be created with your eyes with semi permanent eyelash extensions. From the famous Audrey Hepburn look to the glamorous Marilyn Monroe style. Your eyelash technician will talk you through what ‘look’ you would like to achieve with the eyelash extensions. There are also different lengths and thickness and curls you can choose from. This will be discussed with your technician during your consultation. The lashes are applied individually lash by lash to your own eyelashes. During a treatment the eyelash technician separates your lashes and attaches the extensions with special lash glue to the root of your lashes leaving between 1 to 4 millilitres space from your skin.

I totally love getting my lashes done. It really does make me feel pretty and girly and adds that little bit of glamour to my face. The best aspect of eyelash extensions is that it really does shorten the time it takes to get ready in the mornings. No more spending time re applying mascara to get my required look. I simply blink, flutter my lashes and go, it’s perfect!

A full set of individual eyelash extensions can cost £60 to £150 for the initial 1st set. It is advised to have your lashes refilled every 3 to 4 weeks.  To get your lashes refilled it typically cost £30 to £50 depending on your technician and the time you have left between your refills. During a refill, the technician will 1st remove any lashes that has grown out and attach new lashes to the ones removed and to the new lashes that has grown during the 3 to 4 weeks. You will leave looking glam and ready to flutter your eyes to the world again.

To ensure your lashes last long you must take good care of them. Don’t worry it is very low maintenance! It is recommended not to wear any mascara on your lashes. If you want to wear mascara you should purchase mascara specifically made for semi permanent eyelash extensions. Using normal mascara will shorten the life span of the lashes. It is very important not to use eyelash curlers whiles wearing the eyelash extensions as this can ruin your own lashes. Depending on what brand of glue is used to attach your eyelash extensions it is also recommended not to use any oil based products around the eyes. Using oil-based products loosens the glue and this will make the lashes fall off prematurely. Always ask your technician if you have to avoid oil based products around your eyes so you no the correct way to look after your lashes. The most important thing you must remember is not to get your eyes wet for 24 hours after your lashes have been applied. Although you are leaving with the lashes attached it takes 24 hours for the glue to set so please remember not to get your eyes wet during this time.

Semi permanent eyelash extensions have rapidly taking the beauty world by storm. This treatment has become a staple beauty treatment for women of all ages. It definitely is my must have treatment and if I say so myself, I am hooked. I love individual eyelash extensions!
